Java Swing developer (senior) required for major web-based business finance company (e-commerce).

You must have at least 5 years experience in developing Swing based client applications to work within an exciting and cutting edge team.

You should have experience working with Apache/web services/SOA, J2EE, J2SE components and frameworks with all applications to be developed in a UNIX (Linux, Solaris) environment.

You should be aware of Agile methodologies including XP (eXtreme Programming) and understand source control tools in depth.

Ideally you will also have experience with enterprise database servers (either Oracle 9i/10g or SQL Server). You will be joining the team as a senior member to mentor the more junior programmers and lead projects for the full life cycle, from requirement gathering to design through to development, implementation and support.

Experience as a lead developer/team leader is important, but a strong enough outgoing developer may be considered. Communication skills and a creative, analytical mind are essential to take up this position of responsibility and work closely with the business.

Top tier education a big advantage in Computer Science, Maths or similar.
