Treasury Trader (Japanese Repo)

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute trades in the Japanese Repo market, leveraging market insights and analysis to optimize trading strategies.
• Monitor market trends, news, and economic indicators to identify trading opportunities and risks.
• Build and maintain relationships with counterparties and stakeholders in Japan, ensuring effective communication and collaboration.
• Manage risk exposure and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
• Contribute to the development and implementation of trading strategies to maximize profitability and minimize risk.
• Collaborate with internal teams including risk management, research, and operations to support trading activities and optimize performance.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field. Advanced degree or professional certifications (e.g., CFA) preferred.
• Proven experience as a Treasury Trader with a focus on Japanese Repo, preferably within a hedge fund or investment bank.
• Fluency in Japanese language (spoken and written) is essential to communicate effectively with stakeholders in Japan.
• Strong understanding of Japanese financial markets, regulations, and trading practices.
• Proficiency in Fixed Income trading; experience in Equities trading is a plus.
• Excellent analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and market trends.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships with stakeholders.
• Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, with a proactive and results-driven approach.
