Salary: £45,000-£55,000 depending on experience

The Opportunity: The organisation is looking for a skilled Network Services Engineer to play a pivotal role in maintaining and developing their network infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to work with cutting-edge technology and contribute to the implementation of network solutions.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Maintain the organisation's network equipment to meet MoD accreditation standards
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of new network solutions
  • Install and support various networking solutions as part of team activities
  • Lead or assist in examining non-standard or project requirements from various stakeholders
  • Manage and own specific project lifecycles from initiation to operational handover
  • Assist with managing 3rd party suppliers and their delivery of solutions and services
  • Review project documentation and provide technical input and consultancy
  • Create documentation and presentation materials to support business activities
  • Collaborate closely with the Security Operations Centre and Information Security teams to ensure the highest standards of secure design
  • Provide assistance and support to other network projects and solutions
  • Participate actively in Change Approval Board discussions around approvals

Requirements:

  • Minimum of Cisco CCNA certification or equivalent experience
  • At least 3 years of previous experience in networking
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes and standards is desirable
  • Experience with network solutions like DNA Centre, ACI & ISE is preferred
