A forward-thinking global organisation is looking for a Buyer – Strategic Procurement to join a dynamic, growing Group Procurement function. This role sits at the heart of a transformation journey that’s modernising procurement across a diverse portfolio of businesses, blending technology, strategy, and cross-functional influence.

You’ll work alongside a highly experienced team, supporting group-wide sourcing and process innovation projects across a wide range of categories – including IT, consumables, and facilities – with the autonomy to drive meaningful change.


As a Buyer – Strategic Procurement, you will:

  • Lead and support strategic sourcing initiatives across a broad category base (e.g. IT, materials, FM, and services)

  • Help implement procurement process improvements using automation and AI-enabled tools (e.g. Microsoft Copilot)

  • Manage and support group-level contracts, ensuring supplier performance and value delivery

  • Build relationships with internal stakeholders to understand requirements and influence buy-in to centralised sourcing initiatives

  • Conduct market research and competitive analysis to bring insights and innovation into procurement decisions


A successful Buyer – Strategic Procurement will have:

  • Background in procurement, buying, supply chain or commercial roles

  • Strong analytical and commercial thinking skills

  • Confident communication style with the ability to influence without direct authority

  • Interest in digital transformation, automation, and data-led procurement practices

  • Familiarity with eProcurement or contract management tools is a plus

  • Self-starter mentality with the ability to thrive in a decentralised, agile environment
