Lead Software Engineer – C#/.Net

Location: Leeds (Hybrid – 2 days/week on-site)

Salary: Up to £68,000 base

 

A high-growth digital delivery team within a global professional services firm is hiring five Lead Software Engineers to join its Leeds-based tech hub. This is a unique opportunity for a Lead Software Engineer to work on secure, high-impact systems without the distractions of client-facing or sales responsibilities.

 

The team operates like a start-up within the enterprise—tech-first, agile, and focused on solving complex challenges for public sector and regulated clients. As a Lead Software Engineer, you’ll be part of a collaborative, onshore-first engineering capability that values deep technical expertise and continuous learning.

 

Requirements for the Lead Software Engineer role:

 

  • Strong experience in C#/.Net (full-stack with JavaScript preferred)
  • Proven leadership in engineering teams and distributed systems
  • Knowledge of CI/CD, Docker/Kubernetes, RESTful APIs, and cloud platforms
  • Must meet UK National Security Vetting criteria (UK residency for 5+ years)

  • Lead the design and delivery of secure, scalable software solutions
  • Mentor engineers and uphold technical quality across the team
  • Collaborate with product managers to translate requirements into code

Package:

 

  • Up to £68,000 base salary
