Senior UX Design Consultant 

Location: UK-based (Leeds, London, Manchester, Glasgow, Bristol or Birmingham)
Salary: £56,000 – £68,000

We’re looking for experienced UX designers ready to take the next step in their careers. As a Senior Consultant in UX Design, you’ll lead multidisciplinary Agile teams to create services that are intuitive, inclusive, and centred around real user needs. You’ll work closely with user researchers and stakeholders to shape digital experiences that make a difference.

This role is ideal for someone who is not only an expert in UX design but also a strong leader and advocate for user-centred design practices. You’ll have the opportunity to influence clients, mentor colleagues, and help shape the future of digital service delivery.

What You’ll Do:

  • Advise clients on solving complex problems using UX and people-centred design
  • Lead Agile teams to design services that meet user needs
  • Champion inclusive design practices and accessibility
  • Build strong relationships with clients and stakeholders, while managing challenging conversations
  • Line manage and mentor UX designers, supporting their growth and development
  • Contribute to recruitment, events, thought leadership, and business development
  • Promote user-centred design internally and externally

What You’ll Bring:

  • Advanced UX design skills applied across varied environments
  • Experience working in Agile, multidisciplinary teams
  • A strong track record of designing for diverse users, including those with accessibility needs
  • Proven ability to advocate for UX and service design approaches
  • Experience mentoring or managing other designers
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • A solid understanding of related roles in design, product, and technology
  • Confidence in navigating ambiguity and helping clients define the right approach
