A respected digital consultancy is on the lookout for a Senior Data Engineer to join its growing data practice. This is a brilliant opportunity to be part of a human-focused, tech-forward environment that delivers bespoke data solutions for clients in both the public and private sectors.

In this role, you’ll take the lead in crafting data pipelines, designing cloud-first solutions, and developing modern data environments. You’ll be a key voice in team discussions and architecture decisions, as well as a mentor to others across delivery squads.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of scalable data engineering solutions
- Develop and optimise pipelines using tools such as dbt, Python and Terraform
- Implement event-driven systems, data lakes, and mesh/warehouse architectures
- Evaluate APIs, data structures and flows for business analytics and BI integration
- Promote engineering best practices and coach junior team members where needed
- Represent the consultancy at community events through blogs, talks, and workshops
Skills & Experience Required:
- Solid commercial experience in Snowflake, dbt, Python, AWS and Terraform
- Exposure to event-based systems and scalable cloud data architectures
- Hands-on knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, and graph databases
- Familiarity with log-processing tools such as Splunk, Cribl or NiFi
- Skilled in dashboard and insight delivery using Power BI, Tableau or similar
- Comfortable with security-aware development (OAuth, MFA, TLS, etc.)
- Strong grasp of data modelling, ETL processes, and large dataset processing
- An understanding of infrastructure-as-code and DevOps practices is desirable
