What you’ll be doing

Apply ex-operator knowledge to assess and analyse system designs, diagrams, and data, ensuring technical accuracy and robust maintenance outputs.

Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring to colleagues across the engineering team.

Support stakeholder engagement and contribute to collaborative working groups for maintenance design.

Estimate scope, resources, and costs to support bids, proposals, and project planning.

Ensure all work aligns with Quality and SH&E Management Systems.
Experience required
Essential:
-
Background as a submarine nuclear operator or maintainer.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to solve complex technical problems.

Understanding of the complete engineering lifecycle, with experience in multiple lifecycle phases.

Extensive knowledge of ship systems and how they integrate with ILS and safety.
Desirable:

Familiarity with Ministry of Defence (MoD), industry, and corporate standards.
