3rd Line Support Engineer – Windows Infrastructure

Location: Central London (5 days on-site)
Salary: Up to £55,000 per annum
Additional Compensation:

  • 10% company bonus
  • 10% DV clearance bonus
  • £6,000 car allowance (option to take as cash)
  • On-call rota (1 week in every 4–5, compensated)

Working Hours:
Coverage between 07:00–19:00, 37 hours per week (e.g., 07:00–15:00 or 08:00–16:00), shared across a team of five.


About the Role

This is a hands-on infrastructure support position within a secure MOD environment. You’ll work closely with engineering, SOC, and network teams to troubleshoot and maintain a range of systems. The role offers exposure to project work, including system upgrades and deployments, making it ideal for someone looking to move beyond ticket-based support.


Key Responsibilities

  • Troubleshooting infrastructure issues (Windows Server, RHEL, SAN, GPOs, WSUS, AD, AppLocker)
  • Collaborating with network, engineering, and SOC teams
  • Resolving escalated incidents with client leads
  • Patching and maintaining test/live environments
  • Working with PKI certificates and SIEM tools
  • Active Directory administration (accounts, groups, permissions)
  • Supporting engineering and test teams
  • Participating in a compensated on-call rota
