The Director of Product Management plays a pivotal role in shaping the future of a market-leading cloud-based product. This is a strategic leadership position, responsible for defining product vision, long-term strategy, and a forward-looking roadmap that delivers measurable business impact.
Acting as a commercial “Product CEO,” the Director of Product Management will own the product business plan, applying best-practice methodologies to transform ideas into new product capabilities and services. They will ensure the organisation maximises the value of existing offerings while driving customer adoption and market growth.
This Director of Product Management role requires a leader who can balance strategic thinking with commercial acumen and technological insight. While comfortable engaging with technical details when required, their real strength lies in stepping back to shape the broader product vision and inspire teams to deliver against it.

This cloud-based automated testing tool is the only solution built exclusively for testing Workday. Designed to make automation accessible regardless of technical expertise, it enables rapid creation of repeatable tests across business processes, security configurations, and integrations. Trusted by global enterprises, the product saves thousands of hours in manual testing and provides unmatched assurance in Workday deployments.
Key Responsibilities
- Define and execute the product vision, strategy, and roadmap, setting clear investment priorities for long- and short-term growth.
- Act as the internal and external evangelist for the product, driving brand visibility through thought leadership, events, social media, and customer engagement.
- Partner with customer-facing teams to build confidence in the roadmap, provide market insights, and enable successful adoption.
- Lead go-to-market strategy, including value proposition, product positioning, customer segmentation, and KPI ownership.
- Translate customer insights, market trends, and competitor analysis into actionable strategies that ensure long-term market differentiation.
- Collaborate closely with development teams, business analysts, and product architects to ensure releases are well-defined, on time, and deliver measurable value.
- Communicate effectively with senior leadership, presenting strategic updates, influencing decision-making, and aligning product direction with business goals.
- Maintain a robust fact base on market dynamics, enabling evidence-based decision-making and strategic planning.
Minimum Requirements
- At least 6 years’ senior product management experience in SaaS or software product environments, covering the full lifecycle from ideation to launch.
- Proven track record in product strategy, pricing, go-to-market, and product marketing.
- Exceptional communication and influencing skills, with the ability to engage senior stakeholders and drive fast, confident decisions.
- Strategic thinker with strong commercial awareness, able to balance immediate priorities with long-term vision.
- Strong analytical skills, with the ability to challenge assumptions, interpret complex data, and translate insights into strategy.
- Experience working closely with cross-functional teams, including developers, architects, and business analysts.
- Demonstrated leadership, with the ability to manage upwards, mentor product managers, and step into broader leadership responsibilities when required.
- Proven ability to foster effective, collaborative relationships with development teams, ensuring scope clarity and delivery excellence.
Desirable Experience
- Exposure to automated testing frameworks or software testing.
- Experience in services design and developing propositions alongside core products.
- Background in the Workday ecosystem or related enterprise SaaS platforms.
